City Of West Hollywood Prevention Campaign

The City Of West Hollywood launched their new 2011 STD/ Drug Prevention Campaign this month of June. Producer/ Creative Director Matthew Mateo contacted me letting me know I was one of the photographers being considered for the new campaign and was thrilled when he told me I had the job. Above are two of the four images that will be on bus shelters in the City Of West Hollywood along with publication and online media advertising.

Plantation Design hired me to shoot several full page ads, first image (above) being published in Elle Decor Magazine September issue 2010. I received a early viewing of the next image Plantation Design is using for the October issue of Elle Decor. I'll post it here after it's been published. Plantation Design founder Mark Cole and Ryan Valley , the director of online sales and marketing hired me to shoot images for Plantation Designs new accessories online store, which just recently launched. The images above are three out of five you can view on their website. Aside from accessories Plantation Designs also features custom furniture for home and office and can be seen at one of their three showroom and retail locations, Los angeles, San Francisco and Venice California.

Alec Mapa/ Frontiers Magazine

I was browsing through my Archives and found this image of actor Alec Mapa (Ugly Betty, Desperate Houswives) I shot for the cover of Frontiers Magazine. We were emulating the character on the original Star Trek, Hikaru Sulu played by George Takei, which was beautifully art directed by Ricardo Saliz. Alec was such a sport. I wanted to capture the look of him floating in space and since we didn't have a budget to rig Alec in the air I had him jump a million times (on concrete) giving me all kinds of different poses. Frontiers Magazine had a lot of images to choose from, but I was excited with the one they chose for the cover.

Elliott Yamin/ Holiday CD

I had the pleasure of photographing Elliott Yamin (American Idol Season 5) for his soulful holiday CD. I wanted to scan the images from the CD for my blog around the holidays but things got a little crazy with travel and time..... but better late than never. I was happy with the images the record company chose for the CD. I love the energy of the inside images and the hod-die image on the cover. The shoot was styled by celebrity stylist Toni Ferrara..... Love her, and grooming was done by Asaf Narkis. The last image above (Elliott in his tux) was Elliott reacting to me calling a wrap to the shoot. That's sometimes when you get the good stuff.

Burlapp Lookbook Spring 2010

The two images above are from the 2010 Spring Burlapp Lookbook I shot for the amazingly talented designer Alan Del Rosario and his equally talented business partner Brian Sullivan. We had such a fun day shooting 30 or more designs in 8 hours so as to meet the deadline for fashion week in New York. These two images in particular were printed 3 feet wide by 8 feet tall and were displayed at the show. I wish I could have been there to see it. Next time.

Baking Shoot

A couple of weeks ago I shot a baking story test I've been wanting to do for awhile now. I casted the cutest little red head from Bobby Ball Agency named Ruby and a beautiful woman named Annie who was her pretend mom (you can see Annie on my website with Ruby) We had the best time and the chemistry between the girls was great, I couldn't ask for better models.
